On July 1, 2021, the Academy for Lifelong Learning and the McGrath Computer Learning Center merged to form the Center for Lifelong Learning. Both of the predecessor organizations operated in association with the Office of External Programs of the University of South Carolina Aiken. The new, combined organization, still associated with USC Aiken, continues to use the former Academy web address of aikenlearning.org.
