Changes to the Printed Catalog

Posted: 6:17 AM 10/4/2025
If you see a course listed in the printed catalog that is no longer on the website, it has been canceled. This is usually due to an enrollment lower than our minimum for teaching a class or a conflict that developed in the instructor's schedule. We maintain a list of all changes to the printed catalog that you may refer to.

2025 Kauffman Award Presented to

Katie Dixon & Susan Steinbis

The annual Kauffman Award for outstanding service to the Center for Lifelong Learning was presented to Katie Dixon and Susan Steinbis at the annual Earl F. Kauffman Remembrance Day Luncheon, April 15, 2025. This is only the second time in the history of the award that it has been given to two recipients.

Katie Dixon

Katie Dixon is a Georgia native who believes every day is an opportunity to learn something new. She holds a master’s degree in business and healthcare administration, but her passion lies in helping and serving others.

When she is not volunteering with the Center for Lifelong Learning, she mentors for the Georgia Transplant Foundation and advocates for education and awareness of the significance of organ and tissue donation.

Susan Steinbis

Susan Steinbis is a retired nurse who spent 26 years in critical care followed by 15 years in research. Nursing afforded her many opportunities (outside of her full-time position) to work part time in different disciplines such as critical care transport, pediatrics, urgent care, and even occupational nursing.

Having spent the majority of her life in 'caretaker' roles, she is excited to now be able to give back in different areas like the Center for Lifelong Learning, Golden Harvest, and the SPCA.

It is our honor to present Katie Dixon and Susan Steinbis with the annual Kauffman Award for their dedicated and exceptional service to the organization and this community’s adult education.
