Changes to the Printed Catalog

If you plan to use the printed catalog as your reference for CLL classes, you may want to write in it the corrections and updates listed below. The initial changes are listed by catalog page number. Later changes added after the initial group are listed with the most recent at the top of the list.

Later Changes

  • Page 26, The course Roman Republic Coinage has been canceled.
  • Page 21, The course The Inspirational Journey of Dr. Matilda Arabella Evans has been canceled.
  • Page 20, The course Horse Track Systems has been canceled.
  • Page 20, The course Tech Talk: Traveling Smartly with a Smartphone will now meet in B&E 144.
  • Page 19, The course TV Streaming will now meet in B&E 238F.
  • Page 25, The course Duels, Murders, and Hangings in Aiken will now meet February 16, 3:30 PM – 4:30 PM, in B&E Room 122.
  • Page 17, The course Hands-On Nuclear Science: From Cookies to Quarks, scheduled for January 21, has been canceled.
  • Page 17, The course Unlocking MS Word, scheduled for January 22, has been canceled.
  • Page 18, The course Excel for Beginners, scheduled for January 22, has been canceled.
  • The classroom location of the courses below has been changed as shown in the list.
    • Page 34, Irish Travellers moved to Penland 106 for the 3/9 session and to SAC Mezz 201 (see details) for remaining 3 sessions.
    • Page 26, Shady Characters of the Winter Colony moved to B&E 116.
    • Page 22, Sennsational Sky moved to RPSEC 131A for the 2 lecture sessions
    • Page 20, Pirates of the Caribbean moved to B&E 122.
    • Page 24, Understanding the US Congress moved to B&E 122 for the 2/9 and 2/16 sessions and to B&E 124 for the last session.
    • Page 16, Rose O’Neal Greenhow moved to B&E 124.
    • Page 25, Duels, Murders, and Hangings in Aiken moved to B&E 122.
  • Page 22, Sessions 1 and 2 (2/3 and 2/24) of the course Sennsational Sky Stories will meet in Room 131a of the Ruth Patrick Science Education Center.
  • Page 27, the course Tech Talk: Your Digital Legacy, scheduled for February 17, has been canceled.

Initial Changes (Errata)

  • Page 9, insert Publicity: Phyllis Britt in the list of COMMITTEE CHAIRS.
  • Page 12, in the Index of Courses, under topic Local, the page reference for Shady Characters of the Winter Colony should be 26.
  • Page 16, for course Tech Talk: Beyond Security, the first line of the Instructor paragraph should read "Instructor: Gabriel Lemnaru...."
  • Page 21, the end of the partial paragraph at the top of the left column should read: "...books including Lost Aiken County; Beaufort, South Carolina: A History; Wicked Edisto: the Dark Side of Eden; and A History of North Carolina Wine."
  • Page 27, under the course Tech Talk: Your Digital Legacy, the Instuctor: paragraph should read, "Vicki Gibboney see bio on page 17."
  • Pages 49 and 50, in the registration form, the title of course #99 should be "99. When Kidneys Go Awry."
Notes
  1. The initial changes listed above have already been incorporated into the CLL-only version of the catalog. All changes have already been incorporated into the online list of courses.
  2. The initial changes constitute an errata to the printed catalog. Later changes are the result of modifications to the schedule made after Open House.
  3. The list of errors above may not include simple typographical errors whose meaning is clear despite the error or layout errors that do not affect the meaning of the information printed.
