The Spring 2025 semester has ended. CLL staff are hard at work developing the courses that will be taught during the Fall semester, which will begin in August 2025. Come back to this website in July to see the line-up of over 90 courses to be offered in the Fall semester.

A parking permit is required to park on campus to attend CLL classes. To acquire a permit decal, take your driver's license and vehicle registration certificate to Room 104 of the Business and Education Building. You may also acquire a permit at Open House if you bring your license and registration. Permits expire each August—check the expiration date on your decal. When you come to campus, place your decal in the lower left corner of your windshield and park only in spaces with white lines; spaces with yellow lines are reserved for USCA faculty.
Dr. Earl F. Kauffman arrived in Aiken at the age of 82 and initiated a planning committee to develop and implement a program for the community's mature residents. In 1990, this committee created a mission statement for what was to become the Academy for Lifelong Learning (later the Center for Lifelong Learning) at the University of South Carolina Aiken.
The annual Earl F. Kauffman Recognition Day and Award is a luncheon hosted annually to celebrate the significant contribution made by Dr. Kauffman. It is made possible by an endowment fund established in 1990 by Dr. James Kauffman upon the death of his father Earl.
This year's luncheon will be held on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM, in the Etherredge Center Lobby, Lower Level, on campus.
Invitations (with a required RSVP) will be mailed to Center members in March. There is no charge for a member to attend.
