Class Schedule Updates

Posted: 8:19 AM 9/14/2022
As you likely know, we had a number of errors in our printed catalog. We are also operating in a new working environment with USCA. Those two elements have resulted in inconsistencies in our published class schedule information and in more wait-lists than we want. We apologize for those. The Center and the university are dedicated to eliminating these issues for next semester. For now, we believe you will find consistent information about the class schedule for the fall semester, regardless of where that information is published. Check anywhere in this block to go to the Catalog page for up-to-date schedules and an errata for the printed catalog. Thank you for your patience.

Course Canceled

Posted: 7:23 AM 9/7/2022
The course Introduction to Digital Networks has been canceled for the fall semester due to insufficient enrollment.

Schedule Changes

Posted: 7:11 AM 9/7/2022
Several courses have date and time changes due to an unavoidable change in the instructor's schedule. These courses are: Exploring Windows 10, Making the Most of Your Words, Home Security, and Home Surveillance Systems. To see the changes for a specific course, click anywhere in this block and select the course name from the topical index, under the heading Technology, to display the details for that course.

Section Added

Posted: 5:54 AM 9/6/2022
We have added a second section of the course Google Picasa Photo Editing to accommodate wait-listed students. The added section will be taught on October 17 at 9:00 AM - 11:00 PM.

Map & Parking

This page provides information about how to get to the USC Aiken campus and where to park when you get there. All students, staff, and instructors are required to have a current campus parking permit decal displayed on their windshield (there is an exception for non-faculty instructors teaching a short course). You must park in spaces with white lines.

Map to the USC Aiken Campus

Get driving directions to the campus from any address.

Map of Campus Buildings

Open the campus map on the USC Aiken website in a new tab. The Center for Lifelong Learning (CLL) Tech Center may be found at coordinates D8 on this map; use Parking Lot A. The Business & Education Building may be found at D6; use Parking Lot C.

Parking Permits

All students, staff, and instructors must have a current campus parking permit decal displayed on their vehicle windshields when parking in the campus parking lots. There is no fee for this decal.

Parking permit decals expire the end of August each year. Those not displaying a decal or displaying an expired decal are subject to fines or having their vehicle towed.

To obtain your parking decal:

  1. Download the USC Aiken Parking Decal Form. (You may also get the form from the Continuing Education office, Business and Education Building, Room 126—see map for location of B&E Buidling).
  2. Fill out the Parking Decal Form.
  3. Take your completed form, vehicle registration, and driver's license to the USC Aiken Business and Education Building, Room 126.

If you already have your decal, you do not need to get a new one until you reach the expiration date shown on the decal.

Instructors - Non-faculty instructors who are visiting campus only to teach a Center short course may obtain a temporary parking permit hang tag. Contact USC Aiken Continuing Education Department for more information ( or 803-641-3741).

As noted above, all students, staff, and instructors must have a current parking permit decal displayed in the lower left corner (driver's side) of their windshield to park in any campus parking lot.

You may park in any lot on the campus. You must park only in spaces with white lines. Spaces with yellow lines are reserved for USC Aiken faculty.

Parking Lot A (see map) is most convenient to the Lifelong Learning Tech Center, where most techical courses are taught. Parking Lot C is most convenient to the Business & Education Building where most general interest courses are taught.

The permit decal is required even if parking in handicap spaces with handicap permits. If no handicap spaces in a lot are open, those displaying handicap parking permits may park in the yellow-lined spaces normally reserved for USC Aiken faculty and staff. Your handicap permit must be on display.
